Art Club Happenings: Edible Color Wheels

Art Club students in 3rd-5th Grade learned about color theory with a delicious twist! We created our own color wheels by mixing the three primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) to make secondary colors (orange, green, and purple)!

The twist: instead of using paints, students used icing and food color dyes as their art medium! We decorated cookies to assemble our final color wheels!

Students loved mixing colors in a creative and unique way... almost as much as they loved eating the final product!

Check out some of the pictures:

Learning is fun... and yummy!
