7th Grade Contemporary Pop Art Paintings
7th graders learned about the Pop Art movement during a recent art lesson. They enjoyed the bright uses of color and popular culture imagery by artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein! We also learned about complementary colors! After discussing contemporary popular culture images that we see everyday, students created their own painting inspired by the Pop Art movement.
8th Grade Paper Mache Masks
8th graders had a great time creating their own, unique paper mache masks. They did such a fantastic job with this 3D project! With free choice, students were able to choose whatever theme they wanted for their mask! Themes ranged from animals and nature to sports teams and personal nicknames! They had lots of different materials to choose from when decorating their masks.

2nd Grade Collage Self Portraits
2nd graders created self portraits collages using a variety of mediums. Students were able to experiment with watercolors in their backgrounds and show their personalities through their drawings and handwriting!

3rd Grade Modern Totem Pole
In a lesson connecting to a Social Studies unit, 3rd graders learned about historical Totem Poles.
Students created a modern version of a Totem Pole using construction paper and paint. They worked in pairs focusing on a different animals.
We recycled boxes for the structure of the Totem Pole.
Awesome job, 3rd grade!
4th grade Georgia O'Keeffe Inspired Oil Pastel Flowers
4th graders were excited to explore the medium of oil pastels for their latest project. They did such a fantastic job blending and creating bright flowers inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe!

Kindergarten Watercolor Circles
Inspired by Wassily Kandinsky's shapes and colors, Kindergarten used oil pastels and homemade liquid watercolor paints to create their own colorful art!

Pre-K Mixed Media Flowers
PreK students loved mixing colors this year in art! It was messy, fun, and exciting! We created purple using red and blue!

For spring, we created a mixed media flower collage. We used paint, markers, paper, crayons, and glitter to make our art.

Kindergarten Primary Color Haring Dogs
Kindergarten learned about Keith Haring's fun and playful artwork, especially his dog drawings. Students loved the bright colors and bold images. We created our own dogs inspired by Keith Haring. We also learned about the primary colors: red, yellow, and blue!

1st graders created these beautiful watercolor paintings inspired by Henri Matisse. We learned about warm vs. cool colors, perspective, and watercolor painting techniques!
